Here is a series of examples for common configurations of intermediate driver software, iANS.LAN. These examples use a combination of 1000 and 100 adapters. The intermediate driver uses the same syntax with all server adapters regardless of speed. Therefore you may substitute CE100B for E1000/E1000E and vice versa in any of these examples. The only exception to this is that EtherChannel keywords are dependent on the connection speed. Use "mode=fec" for 10 or 100 Mbps and "mode=gec" for gigabit connections.
Example 1: Two-Adapter AFT Team
1 1000 server and 1 100 server adapter - Ethernet_802.2 frame type, IPX protocol.
Example 2: Two- Adapter ALB Team
2 1000 server adapters - Ethernet_II frame type, IP and IPX protocols.
Example 3: Teaming
2 1000 server adapter Static Link Aggregation team - 2 frame types, IP and IPX protocols.
4 100 server adapters in a IEEE 802.3ad team.
Example 4: One Adapter, 2 VLANs
1 1000 server adapter - Ethernet_II frame type, IP protocol.
Example 5: One Adapter, 3 VLANs
1 100 server adapters - All 4 frame types, IPX protocol.
Example 6: Two- Adapter ALB
Team, 5 VLANs
2 1000 server adapters - Ethernet_II, IP and IPX protocols.
Example 7: Two Teams
1 1000 server and 1 100 server adapter Static Link Aggregation team - 2 frame types, IP and IPX protocols.
1 100 server adapter, 2 VLANs - 2 frame types, IP and IPX protocols.
